Governance and Policy
Today’s converging information technologies collaboratively managed for attaining University-wide goals and objectives generate issues with few clearly defined boundaries.
In order to effectively address such issues and obtain adequate input, review, oversight and coordination, a broad based knowledgeable and representative governance and advisory structure is required.
IT governance is an orderly process by which information technologies, policies and procedures are identified, selected and integrated into or removed from the University’s information technology infrastructure consistent with the University’s strategic plan.
The foundation upon which IT governance takes place at Boise State University is COBIT compliant.
