Organization and Services of Enterprise Application Systems

The functional application teams are structured along the organizational lines of Boise State University and work closing with the business analysts and other key personnel in the functional departments to ensure the proper operation of their application systems. In addition to these EAS teams, another team is responsible for the administration and support of the infrastructure software required for the enterprise applications.

Student Applications

The Student Applications team supports the enterprise applications for Student Affairs including the departments of Enrollment Services, Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid. Their applications include Bronco Web for Students, PeopleSoft Student Administration (e.g., Student Records, Campus Community, Admissions and Recruitment, Financial Aid, and Student Financials), and Resource25/Schedule25.

Financial Applications

Among the departments in Finance & Administration supported by this EAS team are the Controller’s Department and the Budget Office. The primary applications supported are PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger, Payables, Purchasing, Asset Management, and Budget) including the requirements for state requirements.

Human Resources/Payroll Applications

The HR/Payroll applications team supports the enterprise applications for the Human Resources department, which are the PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System (Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll) and Bronco Web for Employees.

Alumni/Development Applications

This team is responsible for the enterprise applications for University Advancement, e.g., Alumni Relations, Development, Boise State Foundation, and the Bronco Athletic Association. Currently, PeopleSoft Contributor Relations product is the enterprise software supported by this team.

Enterprise Software Administration

For the enterprise applications to function, there are technical responsibilities that are not specific to a particular application. These duties include software migrations, upgrades, updates, and fixes, server administration, application security administration, and support for the resolution of production issues.
