The Vice President of Research has provided a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster available for use by Boise State researchers. The 16 node GPU cluster is physically located at the computing facilities of INL in the Idaho Falls location.
The Office of Information Technology assisted the Vice President of Research in consulting with faculty and researchers and in the acquisition of the equipment. OIT provides assistance to researchers connecting to and using the cluster.
Campus researchers from various colleges and expertise made recommendations for the configuration of this initial cluster. It is expected this HPC system will expand as additional research funding becomes available.
