Computer Accounts

New University computer accounts require a request submitted online via the Help Desk Self Service Account Request Form.


Account Request Form Instructions

For New Hires and Employee Separations

Step 1: Browse to Help Desk Self Service and log in with your Boise State credentials. You may be logged in automatically; if there is a pop-up prompt to login, for the User name: field, use boisestate\yourusername.

Step 2: Select Request access to be added to a computing account or Request access to be removed from a computing account.

Step 3: Fill out the form, review your information, and then select Submit.

Step 4: You will receive an email confirmation that the request has been submitted, along with the request’s ID number.

For Existing Employees

To request changes in access for an existing employee account, you may email your request to OIT Accounts at accounts@boisestate.edu.

Please include the employee’s first and last name, Boise State username, and Employee ID number on all correspondence.

If the request concerns PeopleSoft administrative access, use Help Desk Self Service to submit the request.

To Change Your Username

To change your username, please read the account name changes procedures.
