A complete outage that would have affected all users occurred between 1:58 - 2:19 AM, and from 2:40 - 2:41 AM. The issue was caused by an overloaded volume in one of our virtual servers and has been addressed.

This attack prevented all other users from access. Amazon has put in a fix to resolve this issue so we should no longer see the issue. However, we are still at the mercy of Amazon provided Blackboard services.

Database configuration error. This issue was intermittent and could
have prevented students from completing assignments or assessments.
Another log in attempt to Blackboard could have allowed the student to
complete the assignment or assessment.

The issue has been
addressed and a permanent fix will be installed after Spring 2014 final
exams during scheduled Blackboard maintenance. (Wednesdays from 6 - 7
AM)
