Create an Attendance Column in Blackboard

Summary


It can be helpful to have an attendance column within your grade book. The column can be used in conjunction with Reef’s iClickers to easily take attendance in class. In the article below we will show you how to create an attendance category and grade column.

Make an Attendance Category

  • Navigate to your course
  • Under grade center click full grade center
  • Hover your mouse over manage
  • Select categories from the drop-down menu

  • Click create category 
  • In the field labeled name type Attendance
  • Click submit

Make an Attendance Column

  • Click full grade center
  • Click create column
  • Look for the field labeled category
  • Click the drop-down menu
  • Select the attendance category you created
  • Fill out the rest of the grade column form 
  • Click submit
